Pilgrimage

Pilgrims, 

Pack your bags, we’re headed to Detroit this Friday to explore three sacred and exciting sites, the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, the Solanus Casey Center, and the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica! The bus will depart from the Saint Patrick Church parking lot promptly at 8 AM. Please eat breakfast before arriving.

Our first stop will be at 6720 Airport Hwy, Holland, OH 43528 where we will pick up five pilgrims (Denise, Janet, Jocelyn, Patti, and Rachel). Pilgrims being picked up, please arrive at the above stated location slightly before 9 AM. 

The weather for Friday in Detroit is showing 64 degrees and sunny! Let’s pray it stays that way. However, if something should change, feel free to pack umbrellas and raincoats. You are welcome to bring a bag and pack anything you might find helpful for the day both spiritual and temporal. We will be praying the Rosary along the way so be sure to bring your Beads! You may also want to bring your Bibles, spiritual books, and anything you would like to turn into a Third-Class Relic. Additionally, we would recommend bringing water to stay hydrated and any snacks you feel you might need or want!

Attire is no sweatpants, but jeans are acceptable. Tennis shoes are welcome due to all our walking. Speaking of the walking, we always emphasize that there can be as much or as little walking as you want. Once we are at the sites, it can truly be a create-your-own-experience. We do have tour guides, but even then, if anyone is struggling with mobility you are always welcome to sit and pray. 

Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral. 

Lunch will be eaten at the Solanus Casey Center. You do not owe any money for lunch. It was included in your registration fee. However, please do bring money for dinner and to tip for our bus driver(s). 

We should arrive back to the Saint Patrick Church parking lot at 9 PM.
